The charitable foundation The Shalw for Ukraine (благодійний фонд «Покрова для України») was established at the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine in 2022 in response to the urgent humanitarian and social challenges facing our country.

From the first days of the invasion, our mission has been to provide direct, practical support to people affected by the war. Over the past four years, the foundation has implemented and supported numerous humanitarian initiatives, helping both civilians and members of the Ukrainian armed forces.

Our work has included assistance to displaced families, refugees forced to leave their homes, and individuals facing severe economic and social hardship due to the war. At the same time, we have supported Ukrainian defenders by providing essential equipment, medical support, and rehabilitation assistance.

In recent years, our foundation has increasingly focused on one of the most critical and long-term challenges of the war: supporting veterans who have suffered traumatic injuries, particularly those who have lost lower limbs.

One of our key initiatives is the ongoing support of the amputee football team Pokrova Lviv, the national champions of Ukraine. This team represents not only athletic excellence but also resilience, recovery, and the restoration of dignity and purpose for veterans who have sacrificed their health in defense of Ukraine.

Through this program, we help provide equipment, training support, and rehabilitation assistance, enabling veterans to rebuild their physical strength, confidence, and social integration.

The Shalw for Ukraine also actively cooperates with American organizations and companies that manufacture prosthetic limbs and prosthetic components. These partnerships allow us to facilitate access to modern prosthetic solutions and rehabilitation resources for Ukrainian veterans in need.

Since its founding, the foundation has supported hundreds of individuals through various forms of assistance — humanitarian, medical, rehabilitation, and social support. Our goal is not only to provide immediate help, but also to contribute to long-term recovery and reintegration.

Every project we undertake is driven by a simple principle: to help those who have lost the most regain independence, dignity, and hope.
